Joe Biden’s handlers, along with the bartender-led “Squad” in Congress, are renewing their hard push for so-called ‘renewable’ energy because that’s what left-wing climate change cultists do.
But it’s not just dumb and expensive to replace reliable fossil-fuel driven economies with ‘wind’ and ‘solar.’
It can be dangerous as hell, too, as has been proven in Texas, which — like much of the rest of America — has been stricken with unseasonably cold temperatures this weekend.
The Austin American-Statesman reports:
Nearly half of Texas’ installed wind power generation capacity has been offline because of frozen wind turbines in West Texas, according to Texas grid operators.
Wind farms across the state generate up to a combined 25,100 megawatts of energy. But unusually moist winter conditions in West Texas brought on by the weekend’s freezing rain and historically low temperatures have iced many of those wind turbines to a halt.
As of Sunday morning, those iced turbines comprise 12,000 megawatts of Texas’ installed wind generation capacity, although those West Texas turbines don’t typically spin to their full generation capacity this time of year.
As of Monday, a sizeable portion of Texas, which has its own power grid, by the way, was without power, leaving nearly 2 million people at risk of literally freezing to death.
Rotating power outages were initiated by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, or ERCOT, early Monday morning, meaning thousands went without electricity for periods of time as temperatures fell into the teens near Dallas and 20s (about minus 5 degrees Celsius) around Houston.
Austin’s electric utility Austin Energy told residents the outages may be longer than usual, prompting angry social media replies from Texans who said they’d been without power for five or more hours.
?If you have power, please try to help the grid by reducing your energy use, your heating being a high-energy user!
?We know customers are wondering how rotating outages work and which areas are on the rotation list. Here is some more info! (2/5)

“The problems in Texas echo difficulties with renewable energy that California experienced during a heat wave in September when there were rolling blackouts because there was no wind, while overcast skies meant there was little solar energy,” Breitbart News’ Joel Pollak noted Monday. “Wind supplies 23% of the energy in Texas and has been growing rapidly in the state. Texas is also the leading producer of wind energy in the nation.”
Again, there is nothing more reliable than fossil fuel-driven energy. The other forms of ‘renewables’ are not simply unreliable, they can be deadly.
How many more examples do we need to prove it?
